Instagram has one move nothing else has: you put something up, you ask people to comment a word, and they do it. That is the easy part. The hard part is that every one of them is now waiting on a message from you, and a caption cannot hold the link, the price list or the code, so somebody has to open the app and send them one at a time.

Yes, and that is usually the point. Pick the post the offer is on. Comments on everything else carry on as they always did, and only the one you are running gets an answer.
You decide. Answer everybody who comments, or only the ones who used the word you asked for. Most offers work better on the word, because that is what you told people to type.
