Sync Xero contacts and invoices without manual data entry.
The deal is won on Tuesday. The invoice reaches Xero the following week, when the bookkeeper sits down and types the client in again from your email.
The job is finished and the invoice is still not out, because raising it means opening the accounts and typing in a client who is already sitting in front of you. So it waits for whoever does the books. Your bookkeeper is not slow; they are downstream of you. Connect Xero and the invoice is raised there the moment the work is won, against the right customer, on an account you chose — and every time you mark it sent, part-paid or void, Xero is told.
Sits between the deal and the books, for a business where somebody else owns the accounting file. Reach for it when invoicing is the step that always lags the work, and the accounts are somebody's responsibility.
Need more than it doesTell us what the connection has to do and we will wire the rest of it.
Raised in Xero while the client still remembers agreeing to it. No week between the yes and the invoice.
Your contacts come across, and you decide which ones. Invoices attach to a real Xero customer instead of a second one spelled slightly differently.
Leave the connection unused for two months and it closes itself, and tells you. A live line into your accounts stays open only while it is earning its place.
You will find it under Settings → Integrations → Xero.
Open the setup guide →Every native connection comes with the platform. Tell us what else you need and we will wire it.
Your invoices, and what happens to them afterwards. Raised, sent, part-paid, voided. Your contacts come across too, so those invoices attach to real customers, and you choose which contacts that covers. That is the scope, and it is the typing a bookkeeper does on your behalf every week.
No. Xero opens the same way, with the same customers and the same reconciliation. What changes is that the invoices are already there on the day the work was won. They stop arriving from you in a list at month end.
Only the ones you switch on in Xero for that purpose. Your bank accounts sit outside what is offered, so they are never an option to pick by accident. It is a short conversation with whoever keeps your books, and then the choice is settled.
There is a screen that lists what has been sent to Xero and where each one got to. Anything that failed explains itself, and you send it again from there. That is the answer to the awkward question of whether the two sets of books really agree.
It is worth knowing about. If nothing uses the connection for two months it disconnects itself and emails you. That is the right behaviour for a live link into a financial file. When your season comes round you reconnect, and it is a couple of minutes.
Your pipeline, your data. Not a slide deck.
