Calendly bookings, updates and cancellations synced into the CRM.
A stranger books Thursday at two from a link you shared. There is a name and an email in a scheduling tool, and whether they hear from you before Thursday depends on somebody typing them into the CRM first.
You send the link to somebody you have never met, and they take Thursday at two. That is the last the booking does for you. Their name sits in a scheduling tool with no reminder behind it and no record anywhere, so the person who booked is only worked if someone remembers to type them out. Connect it and the booking brings the person with it: the appointment is in your day and the stranger is a contact you can follow up, confirm and chase.
Sits behind the booking link you hand out, catching the people who take a time before you have ever spoken.

You will find it under Calendars → Calendar Settings → Connections.

The booking and the person. A time taken on your link becomes an appointment in your day. Whoever booked becomes a contact, with any guests on the invitation. That is the scope. It is the part you would otherwise retype before you could send a single reminder.
No. Your past bookings come across so the history is there. The follow-up only starts on bookings made after you connect. That is deliberate. You get the record without a thank-you landing on someone you met four months ago.
In Calendly, the way you and the people booking you already do. Calendly stays the place times are offered, taken and moved. Income Mavericks is where the reminder, the confirmation and the follow-up run from, on the contact the booking created.
The appointment moves with them and keeps its history, so the record shows what it was before. Cancel in Calendly and it clears here too. Your day reads the same as the booking page without anybody reconciling the two.
A paid Calendly account is needed, so it is worth checking before you commit. Tell us what you are on and we will confirm what to expect before anything is set up. Most people sending booking links regularly are already there.
